Sign Language Interpreter (Staff Position)
K–12 Educational Focus

Interpreters of the Deaf, LLC is seeking qualified Sign Language Interpreters to join our team. This position primarily serves students in K–12 educational settings, with opportunities to provide interpreting services in a variety of community settings as needed.

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Demonstrated receptive and expressive interpreting skills (skills assessment required)
• Knowledge and understanding of Deaf community and Deaf culture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
• Ohio educational interpreter license or eligibility to obtain one
• Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings and weekends

Responsibilities
• Provide professional sign language interpreting services in K–12 educational environments
• Support effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals
• Provide interpreting services in community settings as assigned
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to applicable standards of practice
